Event Description

This training is designed to address the import record-keeping and audit compliance procedures that will include an emphasis on the importer obligation to maintain and assess internal and external records that are related to their international trade transactions. It focuses on the role of the import compliance manager, and record-keeping compliance procedures, and the approved standard import and customs forms that will fulfil specific legal requirements in the global logistics environment.

When imported products or goods have reached its destination, it must go through Customs, and each nation has its rules and procedural processes that may be unique to that business environment. Therefore, it is imperative to fully understand the record-keeping compliance that is addressed in the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) which is outlined in the Ports of Entry & U.S. Import Regulations.  The import compliance audit and assessment process can be complicated and full of record-keeping requirements that might be known to the importer under the Record keeping Compliance Handbook. Many companies have relied on their intermediaries (channel distributors) to maintain and manage their record-keeping compliance information to avoid pitfalls when trying to make Customs.

  • Why is the administrative summons form used in the importation process?
  • Explaining how to complete the general certificate of compliance and certification of conformity documentation in the importing process.

Good Documentation Practices Relating to USP

Good Documentation Practices (GDP) is a quintessential part of regulated manufacturing and laboratory environments. GDP has to be adhered to in the regulated industries because it is the only truly authentic method of ensuring that documents are audited and accounted for. GDP is also essential to keep track of and maintain control at all stages of the process and the product. GDP is thus a core requirement of a thoroughly developed Quality System. US Pharmacopeia (USP) has laid out a series of…See More
