Although the retail industry as a whole is substantial, the costs to protect a business from injury liability can make quite the dent in profit margins. On average, the costs of employee and customer liability and risk total 0.6% of total sales, which comes to a $ 21 billion price tag to retailers as a whole in the United States. This is a substantial amount for any retail business, big or small, franchised or not. It is therefore imperative to maintain the safety standards of the physical retail space for both employees and customers.

Always place proper signs at every workplace which help to keep employees secure as well as it also useful for awareness.  

Risks and hazards in work place can be reduced to a great extend by means of proper and effective usage of personal protective equipments and by following the safety rules and regulations as per project or maintenance standards. Educating the work force about following an excellent safety culture is also very important. This can be achieved by means of conducting safety orientation sessions and regular tool box meetings prior to start of work. Monitoring of safety credentials by occupational hygiene services can raise the safety features to a higher level for sure.   

Employers normally do the necessary response to ensure workers health and safety. In effect, it can lead workers excels in the timely cost and efficient at work. Furthermore, employers and employees should take both responsibility at work and establish better solution and management system together.
