I just posted a blog on safety training videos, inspired by something I read on Safety News Alerts. I'd love to get your feedback.

No matter how attention-grabbing a video is, that only works the first few times you run it. After a few times, people know the punchlines to all the jokes, the resolution to all the suspense, etc... and tune it out.

I think the key is to have training tailored to the individual and involve them in the presentation. I've had a couple that presented material then asked questions based on the presentation. A correct answer moved you on to the next segment, incorrect answers took you to additional information (not just a replay of the original).
That's an interesting tactic. Also with the ease of creating videos these days, you could even film one at your own workplace...then it might be interesting to find ways to update it by involving employees in the process.
A great alternative is from a company called 3-D ETC. where you almost experience it! The technology actually almost puts you in a virtual accident without really doing so of couse.

Christie are you familiar with this video technology?
I am not familiar with it Kevin. How do you almost experience it?

Works Quickly Meeting the FDA’s Quality and compliance requirements

Quality and compliance are vital issues for any medical devices company. Despite the fact that the FDA’s regulatory compliance requirements are the same across the industry; many medical device companies are shocked when they receive a 483, or a Warning Letter, or even a consent decree. Is meeting the FDA’s regulatory requirements something of a chance, which some organizations get by fluke and others don’t?This is simply not the case. Quality and compliance are built into a medical device…See More
