Dear Colleagues,

Nationally we are looking for qualified, independent instructors who would be willing to work part time teaching safety courses that are specifically tailored to meet the identified needs of one of our clients.  While these instructors would have little autonomy with course content, they will have the flexibility to meet state and local regulations as needed.  The courses our client is currently interested in are:

  • Aerial Lift (Bucket Truck)
  • Ladder Use and Safety
  • Confined Space and Gas Detection
  • Excavation and Trenching
  • Forklift Safety-Powered Industrial Truck
  • Work Zone Safety
  • CPR / First Aid (No Certificate Needed – Review Only)

If you know of interested instructors please have them contact Fran@ussafety.us

Hi Cory Zielke,

I normally make this slide pack (click here to download) as refresh training for my students and my contractors. I suggest your friend using this slides and modify them with Hazwoper content and maybe she or he should prepare some giveaway gifts for correct answers

Cheers

Binh

Hi everyone,

A member of my association is developing an 8-hour Hazwoper refresher training course. She wants to make this course more interesting than past courses she has run, and is wondering if anyone has any neat, fun, or interesting power points, videos, handouts, or activities they would be willing to share regarding Hazwoper.

If you have anything, please message me here or email me at czielke@asse.org

Good Faternoon All,

I am looking for speakers for our annual Safety Stand Down, our company maily works in the opilfiled using heavy equipment to lay mats, we do alot of transportation, and have recently started soil stabilization. I would like speakers who have been injured and may have worked in the field or with similar equipment, an impactful speaker who strongly believes in a healthy safety culture. If you have any ideas, have had or seen a great presenter that made a difference to you please email me kpettigrew@northernmat.ca

Thanks in advance!

Understanding CARC and RARC

A Claim Adjustment Reason Code (CARC) is a code used in medical billing to communicate a change or an adjustment in payment. CARCs have to be used to communicate why there was a difference between the amount paid in a claim or service line and the amount that was billed against it. CARCS are to be mentioned only if there is an adjustment of this kind. If there is no adjustment to a claim or…See More

Diligence and scrutiny are important for writing investigative reports

Diligence and a high degree of scrutiny are crucial for a person who is writing investigative reports in an organization. In the first place, an investigation has to be objective and not be vindictive. It should avoid targeting an employee personally; it should be thorough and proper from a legal perspective. When all the legal procedures are followed in an investigation, the case of the employer becomes strong and defensible…See More
