Happy Holidays

I'm brand new to this community. I'm currently a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager working at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, DC. I also belong to the following organizations: American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH), and American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). I love my career; especially the industrial hygiene portion. I enjoy researching chemical reactions and hazards associated with work activities, performing the exposure monitoring, and then applying appropriate controls to protect that worker. I hope to take something from this community, whether it be education or networking. I'm interested in joining a few of the groups that were created. I'll spend time on this site after the holidays, and hopefully upload a photo for my page. Hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable holiday!

I just signed on today and already have a new friend, life is good. I've been in EHS for over 20 years, and have always liked networking with fellow EHS people.
This site looks like it could be a good resource.

I used to work close by -- contract worker for FDIC safety.

Are you involved in IMF IH/safety or is there some work you do related to IMF's work in developing nations?
