Thanks, glad you're interested!  The website is already up, it's at www.SafetyEcho.com.  There are still a lot more products to add, plus I'm tweaking the design, but there are about 1,000 safety products already on there.

Hey Rick, thanks for adding me.  We should definitely talk.  I could use some safety managers and PPE users to test out SafetyEcho.com, a website I'm developing for reviewing PPE.  Sounds perfect for the sub-committees you mention in your profile.  -- Anthony

Hey Rick! I agree with you. This is a very bad move. My experience has been that labor does not trust mabagement. This being a union shop makes it even worse. I'm thinking that the best approach is by speaking their language. Management speaks the language of finance. By showing them the return on investment by developing an employee created safety culture in the end will cost them less money, time, and headache. You may want to find other organizations in your industry that have excellent safety records, compare them to your organization, and show the ROI in that way.

Rick, It sounds like you have your hands full! I hope management gives safety the role importance that it deserves. If I can ever be of assistance let me know. Not trying to make a buck here, but genuinely concerned with your culture and how I can help you keep people safe. I've been up in the Calgary area and Regina, Very beautiful! I look forward to helping you!

It is hard to believe that it has been just over since five months since our second son, Lukas, was born on Feb. 3. Safety Sign Colors and International Standards

Colors make a difference to our environment. They help us analyze the surroundings and distinguish between objects. We recognize plants as green and the sky as blue, whereas a frog, for example, can be either green or blue. Deviant colors, in this case blue, warns us about poisonousness. If we detect unusual colors in our food, for example, we associate them with rottenness, which then activates a warning in our mind “Don’t eat!” Colors cause diverse feelings and opinions, and even distinct…See More
