Fire Training at the workplace.

Now that you have bought and put in place your new fire extinguisher, do you and your employe's know how to use them? As per ( OSHA 29 cfr 1910.157 )

"Where the employer has provided portable fire extinguishers for employee use in the workplace, the employer shall also provide an educational program to familiarize employees with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient fire fighting."

Every Year Fires in the work place Kill over 5,000 employes, injure more then 80,000 and with a rising cost of over 11 billion dollars. Many companies are put out of business because of a major fire that could have been contained and put out if the company had provided fire extinguishers and kept them in good working order.
