5 Eye-Opening Instagram Facts That Social Media Expert’s Didn’t Tell You

Instagram has witnessed extreme growth over the past couple of years. As a result, a majority of the businesses have flocked into using the application which is powered by visuals. But, learning just the basics of Instagram is like scratching the surface and not going any further. You need to revamp your Instagram game to appeal towards its younger demographic. We have compiled a list of hacks that can surely up your Instagram game. Let's take a look

1.Inserting Page Break In Caption

Writing Captions for Instagram posts can be a little frustrating as it lacks text formatting. The caption field in the application only allows emojis and plain texts. As a result, you cannot use italic or bold text, web links, etc. in the caption.

Not able to add a page break between the lines of your caption? This is because of the lack of "Enter" key while writing the caption. So, what is the solution? Go to the "Numbers" key which will show you a wide range of symbol and numeric keys. Here, you can find the "Enter" Key which was missing in the first place. If you are not satisfied with the spacing, write the caption in a note taking or text editing application and then paste it in the Instagram caption field.

2.Find Who Unfollowed You

The importance of follower numbers differs according to the nature of the social networking platform. In the case of Twitter and Instagram, it is very crucial. But, when it comes to Facebook, the following is mutual. On Instagram, many users follow you so that you do the same, only to unfollow you afterward.

So, how would you find who unfollowed you? You can do that with the help of a third party application called InstaFollow. It will let you know who blocked or unfollowed you every time you open the application. This method will be far more efficient than other manual methods.

3.Sing Instagram As A Photo Editor

Before Facebook acquired Instagram for a billion dollars, Instagram had a very humble beginning as a photo editing application for iOS to post pictures on Facebook. So how do you use Instagram to edit your images? Go to the settings options and switch on the option called ‘Save the Original.' Once you edit the image, navigate to the sharing page and hit twice on the back’ button. This will prompt the application to ask whether you want to discard or keep the photo. Choose to keep the image, and it will be automatically saved in your phone. (https://gramilab.com)

4.Unsend Any Message

This is one of the most celebrated features of Instagram. It is because this feature is not available in any chat apps on social networks. Yes, you heard me right. You can 'unsend' any private message or posts shared through the Direct Message feature.

To utilize this feature, hold down the message till you get a pop-up. The pop-up will show two options. They are ‘copy’ and ‘unsend.' Choose to 'unsend' the message. Always keep in mind that, the user might have already read the message from their lock screen or the notification panel.

5.Get Notifications When Someone Post

Similar to the Facebook’s News Feed feature which it released years ago, Instagram has unveiled that they have abandoned the idea of displaying images by chronological order. At present, the application uses an algorithm which shows posts from the users whom with you interact the most with. This might result in you missing the posts from your favorite accounts on Instagram.

So how are you planning to combat this? Go to the account of the person and tap the three dot menu button. You can turn on post notifications from here. Once you activate it, you will be notified every time that person shares a post.
