Bed bugs can make your life extremely uncomfortable. Once your house gets infested with these insects, it is not easy to get rid of them. They are very good at spreading from one infested site to a new one so if they manage to enter one of your room, they will end up spreading in the whole house destroy all the bedding and furniture, clothing, luggage, etc. they are also highly resilient insects and can survive even a year without eating anything.

It is better to take preventive measures so that you can stop the bed bug problem from happening.

Changing the mattress when it’s time:

The mattress is critical for a comfortable bed. Mattresses are not a cheap investment and people tend to use them for years. But if you want to make sure that your mattress does not end up filled with bed bugs, then you should change the mattress after two to three years. It may seem like a short time to change the mattress, but it will help in getting rid of the source of the bed bug problem. The bed is the most likely location for the bugs and from there they can spread to other furniture or carpets. Change the mattress on time and you will not have to worry about rest of the house.

Using protective covers:

You can keep the bedding items safe from bed bugs by using protective covering on the bed items. The protective covering will not just keep the bedding items safe from bed bugs, but will also offer protection against spills, sweat and body oil. Encase the mattress with a protective covering and the bugs will find it impossible to crawl under the covering. Buy a protective covering for box springs as well because the bugs can often hide in there. You can easily get covers for mattresses, waterproof pillow protector and duvets. Buy the covers along with the mattress because they are not going to be effective if your mattress or any other bedding item is already infested with bugs.

Vacuuming rugs and carpets:

The carpets and rugs are an excellent dwelling place for the bug, so it is important that you take proper care of these items. The rugs and carpets should be vacuumed on a weekly basis. If there is even slightest suspicion of bugs in these items, you should vacuum them daily until they are completely free of bugs. The content of the vacuum cleaner should be disposed with a lot of care. They should be taken out of the house without any delay because if you do not empty the vacuum cleaner, it can spread the infestation.

Using essential oils:

The scent of the essential oils is also an effective way of keeping the bugs away. There are several scent options to choose from so you can pick the one you like. Add a few drops of the oil in a spray bottle and fill it with water. Spray this water in the whole house. You can also spray it on items such as handbags, luggage or backpacks. The oils that can choose are lemongrass, peppermint, tea tree, clove, cinnamon and eucalyptus.

Safety Sign Colors and International Standards

Colors make a difference to our environment. They help us analyze the surroundings and distinguish between objects. We recognize plants as green and the sky as blue, whereas a frog, for example, can be either green or blue. Deviant colors, in this case blue, warns us about poisonousness. If we detect unusual colors in our food, for example, we associate them with rottenness, which then activates a warning in our mind “Don’t eat!” Colors cause diverse feelings and opinions, and even distinct…See More
