What is Nebosh?

The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) is an independent assessment body based in UK providing Safety and health education around the globe. NEBOSH’s education provides an excellent foundation in safety and health for Managers, supervisors and people starting out on a career in safety and health. NEBOSH was found in 1979 and is having charitable position.

Who can take the NEBOSH International General Certificate?

Managers, supervisors and workers all over the world get the NEBOSH International General Certificate because it gives them the skills and know-how to execute their health and safety tasks in any country and in some kind of organisation. The NEBOSH International General Certificate is more over fitting for those embarking on a career in safety and health, providing a sound starting for progression on to the NEBOSH IDIP. No previous safety and health awareness is necessary.

COURSE SYLLABUS:

The course is split into 3 units and 16 modules:

Unit 1-The Management of Health & Safety

  • Foundation in Health & Safety
  • Health and safety management systems - Policy
  • Health and safety management systems - Organising
  • Health and safety management systems - Planning
  • Health and safety management systems - Monitoring, Review and Audit

Unit 2-Work place hazards

  • Workplace hazards & risk control
  • Transport hazards & risk control
  • Musculature hazards & risk control
  • Work Equipment hazards & risk control
  • Electrical Safety· Fire Safety
  • Chemical & Biological health hazards and risk control
  • Physical & Psychological health hazards and risk control

Unit 3-International Health and Safety Practical Application

Practical Assessment Examination. No separate syllabus. Practical Application should be done by the candidate at his work site.

Certification:

Candidates who successfully done all papers of Nebosh IGC in Ahmedabad will receive an NEBOSH IGC which is the required certificate for students seeking for a career to enrich their knowledge in HSE or for student’s target for a promotion.
