I'd like to get a conversation going about what makes "the ideal safety poster." There are really two main categories of safety posters, it seems to me: workplace, and family. Design principles would be different for those two categories.
The workplace poster needs to be very detail-oriented and observant of consistent rules. Compassion is important too, but since the workplace is all adults who are expected to wisely apply self-care, that's usually secondary.
For the family safety poster, the priorities are reversed I think. I'm personally more interested in family safety (including pet safety) so I'll be focusing on that first.
What are your thoughts on the subject? Some imagination-sparking questions might help:
-Can you provide links to any posters that are really well designed?
-What poster-design principles do you find most praiseworthy?
-How can we apply new design principles to posters, ideas that we haven't seen used yet?
