Having consulted in the patch and policed it for years the number on safety violation was not the offence but the attitude

Not doing the procedures as outline or letting consultant bully the workers into hurrying up to get a time incentive bonus

And at what cost

The other because of strange work and hours was fatigue management yes it can be controlled and it can work but proper sleep is a also a key item in the recipe

The last is huge money drive to make it happen captain

That Im late or hurry hurry hurry to the site because we are either late or we didnt pre plan properly in or mob or pre assessment of the site

I have the oceans of training materials for education including site prep, education and equipment training, site assessments form the list goes on and on

The key is letting the workers do the work safely

Letting the green hands have a QUALIFIED mentor and trainer

And letting the supervisor be properly trained most are not and have very little paper work on the site, they are usually learner from the school of hard knocks and they rose up to the posting-- good or bad but without proper training and making sure that they follow SWP and do JSA for the site they become no better than the green hand who is doing the OJT

I have the stuff its free no problem there

You have the workers and company safety guys who should be yelling WHOA we need to stop and train

You have the ISNet materials and manuals for all the companies so why are we still getting hurt

Simple

Attitude that hurry up and get it done safety problem
