ASSE is Not a Political Organization -- Correction Requested

In Safetyguy 08's blog entry titled, "Obama and Safety in the Workplace," Safetyguy 08 writes, "Many point to the fact that Obama's supporters and financial contributors included union leaders and other safety stakeholders, including the American Society of Safety Engineers." This is a completely untrue statement with regard to ASSE. ASSE is not a political organization, does not support any candidates for any public office, and does not give any money or any other support to any candidates. The immediate removal of this statement from this blog is requested. Thank you, Dave Heidorn, Manager of Gov't Affairs and Policy at dheidorn@asse.org.

My apologies! I actually read that about the ASSE on a couple of different websites. I have removed the post and will try to repost the corrected version today.

Hi David, we did remove the blog post and have suggested to the author that he may re-post it without the mention of ASSE. Thanks for the clarification.
